R.I.P Woody The Terrible :'-(

Today, my dad had to shoot a rooster. He was so mean that we just could not keep him nor find a home for him. It was really sad. Yes, he was horrible, following me all over the pen with his hackles flared and spurring like crazy, let alone his hassling of the hens. I just wish there was a better solution than shooting him. I feel really sad and guilty. I was the one who had to go catch him and carry him to my dad. I feel very burdened now, seeing as how I was also the one who told dad he was aggressive. I feel as though I have just killed the poor animal my self.

Comfort would be very appreciated.

Well, kiddo... There are roosters out there that are NOT mean. You could sooner or later have been very hurt by him. HOWEVER, I know it hurts when you have to put an animal down for whatever reason, and you feel guilty about it. BUT, you know what? If you didn't feel guilty, than that would mean that you didn't value him or care, but you had to do what was best for the rest of the yard.

Fuzzy... I didn't find heart or spirit... What I have is limited, and since I am not enough Potawatomi, I am having a hard time getting them to grant me a dictionary. My dad was, but he was not a tribes member.... But, I found a few words for things you may like anyway...

Rooster are hard to rehome... Especially if you are trying to rehome and not eat him..
