Fuzzy's Farm

Now you've got me wondering it THAT's why my birds respond so well to that showbird supplement, Robin. It's always been my first line of defense against sickness, as it has trace minerals and probiotics in it.........? Selenium is linked to lower disease resistance, too. ?

Well, it did get freakishly cold really quickly!!!!! Tail down could just mean she's tired, but she may be pondering if she wants to lay there and sleep if she don't usually sleep there. You know how they are when they get used to a "certain" spot!

My fingers hurt from just a bit out there!

Gigi, the boy is good. We have to keep telling him to stop rough housing. LOL, he is so totally a boy! AND this morning Jace informed me that he knocked a tooth loose in the process of their horsing around yesterday. And it is LOOSE. I was sure it was an adult tooth, but he is swearing that he hasn't lost any of his top teeth, and my mom says that he's only lost the bottoms also. LOL, how sad am I that I can't remember which teeth he's lost!

Robin... How dare you mix a marans and a silkie and then pawn them off on unsuspecting folk! LOL. I think it looks adorable! It looks a lot like my silkie/nh crosses. The wierd thing on them though, the one has red leakage in the black, and the other has silver. They are very pretty.

Looky looky...

Now, that was really weird that the first four came out small... Anyway, heads and wing of the three chicks that Skatter is raising right now. They are at least 1/2 faverolle... I Think the top two are boys... Also that they are 3/4 faverolle and 1/4 sussex or lt brahma...

I am going to do some more research... Thank you for the info
I did read a while ago that you can OD on selenium.
The pills I bought say you can take one a day... I figured I would take 1 the first day, 1 the second day, then see if I feel any different...I don't take a Multi V daily so I am not getting double doses.
I don't know what I am going to do with BF... He will do what he wants...
LOL Number one it is suppose to have feathered shanks....it is a Marans and secondly I told him there was Silkie Roos in that pen before I gave him the eggs. He wanted them anyway.

AWWWWW!!! I wants more babies now!!!!

Well, I have a feeling that the faverolle coloring is dominant in them all. I am pretty certain that Mr. Fluffers fathered 2. I am just not certain who the moms are, other than they were all 1/2 faverolle hens. The darker boy with the least red, I am thinking if from Rod Stewart, who is 1/2 fav/silkie. But the darker one has slate legs. The light girl on the bottom, and the middle boy have pinkish legs. The beige on the girl is more of a salmon that the faverolle girls get. I am thinking the black tips is coming from the light sussex/brahma
th
Light sussex
th
light brahmas....
The hens are a cross of either one of these and the faverolle. LOL.

Hmmm... I am so naughty...
I have been thinking about getting some fertile eggs and trying a dry incubation...

Have any of you done a dry inc? Then you have to increase the humidity the day before hatch day??
I might do this in the spring so I have plenty of time to think about it
