Oh, I'd be awesome if he is indeed a gander and gets along with Pom and Juhy when she's all better. I am so relieved that the liquid poo can be normal - it is clear like water. Her crop area doesn't feel bloated at all now. She looks lighter than before. It'd would be devastating for her to have come this far and for me to miss something critical in helping her. Love the idea of silver - is it colloidal silver? I've seen it online, read pros and cons - http://www.thesilveredge.com/ - some kind of electrically generated thing - not sure if that makes any difference. Do you have experience with a good brand? I'd rather not try something totally new. My mom talks softly to Juhy in a soothing voice and sometimes hums and Juhy relaxes and falls asleep. With me it's like 'ok, kiddo time for your meds, be a good girl' then move onto the next chore. She avoids me like the plague. I'll live with that since I'm sure she knows I love her. I'll have to get working on a separate area for the two roos fast. They are so adorable - just learning to vocalize and so gentle. This is the first time I've been this close to baby chickens. It's a wonderful experience. You are so right - for things to fall into place so fast is a heaven sent and Praise God, indeed.

The last silver I bought is from Healthy Habits I would love to make my own but never have thanks for the link though, you know there was a time when folks used Silver as an antibiotic and ess.oils as med for healing plus edible herbs, we've gotten so far away from the natural, I really like the natural much better. I think it would be safe to use the silver in your mister or humidifier even putting a small amount in her drinking dunking water.I've read on BYC of others using silver on their birds. might go to the search at top of page and see if anything comes up. Like with anything use in moderation. Okay so do you think you have a Production Toulouse? need a pic. and possibly we can tell by looking at him, I have a goose and gander in Pro Toulouse. Boy now with breeding season getting started you can tell the gander out of a crowd of 100 lol. I have used silver in my dogs drinking water usually 1X a month. Baby chickens are so much fun i love it when mama is with them showing them the ropes. Who's beating up on them an adult roo? or the hens.

Here are pics of the Toulouse - up close shots, with Pom and the rest of them.
It was timid at first, not coming out or eating. I took Juhy there and the Toulouse preened her feathers.
Then I took Pom there and let them hang out. Juhy was cold so I brought her inside the house.
Meantime Pom broke through the gate and Pom and Toulouse have joined the Chinese.

No objections from the gang toward Toulouse. Could it be a goose?

From where the Toulouse came from there were 3 that looked the same like this one with stout necks and 1 skinnier with a thin, long neck that was leading.
I can't tell goose from gander and neither could the people who has them! So it was a guessing game.
We get to bring it back if things don't work out.

The poor babies were so intimidated - they were all huddled up by themselves and stopped calling. Back to normal with their own space!

They really are intelligent birds. Okay so now we have 2 geese in the house and he's bashful that should change soon if he is truly a gander, and being in a new place can cause this too. I figured the Chinese would sooner or later let the new guy know he wasn't welcomed but that doesn't necessarily mean Tula is a gander just means he is the new kid on the block so to speak. If you can get more pics like front including whole body the pouch is what is throwing me off even though ganders have them they don't hang to the ground like the females does. So more pics please. I hope you got a gander.

Your birds are so beautiful! What is production Toulouse? Juhy and Tula were getting along inside the house and both wanted to go outside. So we let them go out to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. But, alas Tula no longer wanted to be around Juhy. He pines to be with the bigger group - even though he got attacked by all of them last evening. He's acting exactly like Pom. Strange behavior!

They probably won't like ducks. mine tolerate them from a distance and never want them close. At one time my gander when he thought he was a giant Muscovy[before I had the other geese] loved ducklings and actually took better care of them than their mothers. But now the ducks have to keep their distance from the thugs. Bullies[geese]lol so keeping Tula or getting another gander would be best. What is it about Tula your mom isn't sure of? I sent Iain Utah a PM so hopefully she'll check in tonight or tomorrow. fingers crossed. I'd say he will need more than a few days to feel completely at home.
