OMG! This batch of chicks, which are now...maybe 6 weeks old? I don't remember. Anyway...they are constantly kicking all their feed out of the feeder. Now, when they were on a floor coop, I just wouldn't refill the feeder until they ate the stuff off the ground first. But I put them in the new coop, with a hardware cloth bottom, and it's getting kicked completely out and on to the ground. So, this morning I tried hanging the feeder at about neck level. Filled the feeder, came back an hour later and the feeder is empty! The whole 7 pound feeder is under the coop on the ground! I've never had this problem, and if hanging it didn't work, I'm not really sure what to do at this point....grrrr.....

My chicks did that on day 3 in their brooder. I'm currently using paper towels, and its driving me crazy! You could elevate the feeder some other way, like finding a different way to hang it, or putting bricks or something like that under it. Best of luck!
