Game Cams: Neat, sure; but necessary? i wonder (update)

I have two that I use for deer hunting but once the season is over I put them up around my property to see what's going on. Since my hens free range at times I have to go turn them off so I don't get alot of pictures of chickens. If you want to get one make sure it takes AA bateries. The one I have takes C batteries and goes through them in about 30 days. But the one with AA's last about 60 days.

Whoa, talk about shameful! Did you confront them? What came of it?

If nothing else, I bet it would be entertaining to see what kind of shots of your own chickens you could catch on one!...I want one

Also one is helpful when your neighbor claims their dog would "never do anything like that" when you've got pictures of them killing your birds. A picture is worth a few bucks in a claim.

I have two cams & use them mainly for hunting. I can check the deer out before shooting. Cam helps me in determing shoot or let the deer go & possibly breed for a better deer herd. Do you have to have one nope.

I've been thinking of getting one, just to see what and who comes here when I'm not up or around. Silly question, do the Infrared cameras use a flash that is visable to humans at night? The reason I ask, is a friend's SIL was having trouble with trespassers and thefts. So he put a camera up in a tree. The next night, the camera got stolen!

I originally got one to catch my neighbors illegally dumping on my property. Yup, they got caught red-handed, and I had footage to back my claims. I haven't had any problems with them dumping since. And I threatened to use the footage if they didn't shut their stupid dogs up, so the dogs are now blissfully silent. Win! That camera has long since been replaced with a much better model. Is it necessary? No. But I love it and use it 24/7/365. It's fascinating to see what goes on when people aren't around.

We did, they seem to go every second day around 2 pm so we waited for them at the fence. Get this, the Husband is a COP, and he was cussing us out(extremely foul language, and in front of his young children) after we told him we got picture and video proof of them trespassing and they should seize doing so or we will take legal action with this as proof, and he said that its not neighbourly to forbid them from passing thru our property to get to the crowns land behind since around is such a long way........
I was thiiiiiiiiiiis close to taking a branch and smacking it on his horses butt to see him fly.....

These neighbours never even say hi to us since we moved here 2002, no reason, just always disliked us without ever having even met. That they would stoop that low is sad.
The kicker is we grand permission to cross our land to any rider or hiker if they come in and ask like normal, polite people usually do.

That is incredible...you know, I think some cops (I work with them alot, so I have no problem saying this) let it go to their heads and think they are above the law and everything else...humans are such corruptable creatures

BUT, that right there is a really really good reason to have a game cam (or any other sort of surveilence cam)...
