Very well could be... it affected their breathing bad... almost asphyxiated a young Snowy and one of my bantams... after 1 dose, they improved drastically... dosed everyone and they're all much peppier...

I haven't noticed any of my ducks having breathing issues. Neither the chickens. I dewormnd with safeguard and treated with ivomec for lice back in the spring. Havent done anything since. Wonder if my snowy just never picked it up? Or if I've just eradicated it without knowing maybe the purchase ducks infected mine?

I'm not sure... been trying to figure out how long this has heen an issue here... the sudden onset of respiratory distress was the red flag and I had just finished helping a friend to deworm her flock so I just tried it... with everyone else, I would not have suspected an issue... figured it was the heat this summer that kept everyone lower activity...

what did you use to deworm? I bought valbazen this spring and haven't used it but was planning to.

I used Safeguard on the worst 2, 5 day treatment... Valbazen on everyone else, 3 day treatment...

Would have preferred to do Safeguard at this point, but didn't have enough and couldn't afford to get enough right now for all of them...

I will probably hit everyone with valbazen as I haven't seen any issues here and see how that goes. I mean I haven't seen any worms in any of the birds I've butchered here and I do random checks while butchering but I do know some have roundworms at least right now.
