My pilgrim gander attacked my pekin drake today. The gander is only 10 wks. old and my drake is 15 months old. The ducks were mating and the gander got angry. I was really suprised because he is so young even though he is bigger than the duck.
    Going after him.

My bachelor brother American Geese are the self-appointed barnyard Morality Police. Whenever the ducks are trying to mate the geese run over there honking loudly and nose at them until they stop. The ducks have eventually learned to ignore the geese.

You're goose looks like he's quite upset about the whole thing. Hmmmm...

[IMG] too funny. I had posted a question on here a few months ago because my male goose would not let the drake get to the female ducks..but since then I have gotten the gander a female and put him in a pen so he has no access to the yard or the ducks...and the drake apparently got with the hens after all because my muscovy hen Cocoa hatched out 23 babies and a week later Godiva hatched out 13....maybe now that he has a female he will stop his foolishness. if not, he might make a nice Thanksgiving dinner.
