A coworker has a "White Alaskan " gander that has been walking backwards while bobbing it's head. Anyone have an idea why he is doing this. I looked at the bird yesterday, but didn't observe this behavior. He seems like a healthy, normal gander. Unusual breed that I've never heard of or seen before.

Did you observe its eyes? My first guess would be something neurological and if you could observe anything at all other than the behavior, it would most likely show up in the eyes. I am curious to see if this is something anybody has observed with a specific ailment.
