When I was a kid, my dad's auto body shop was next door to our house. One of the hens, Shirley, liked to jump onto his work bench and lay her eggs. Maybe Speckles is checking out a nesting site? Or, she wants to learn a new trade?

Yes that's it, she wants to learn how to use the drill, she's rebuilding the coop. Cute photo, gorgeous hen!
