Garden is started...anyone else's underway?

Last weekend I planted Tomatoes, Red and Green Bell Peppers, Cantelope and cucumbers.

Not yet, and good thing. We were having temps in the high 70s, then this last week, dropped down to freezing temps at night. I typically don't plant until Mother's Day because we have had snow at the end of April. Most people I know plant early, but they start harvesting tomatoes and peppers the same time I do, so I don't stress (and they often have to replant). Looking forward to spending time preping the garden this weekend, though.

Well, DH just dod the 5th tilling today. So, this weekend, HOPEFULLY...the potatos go in. I may put in the lettuce heads....but..will likely have to cover them. I am still waiting to get the seeds in the ground...crazy weather, but here is our list.

Carotts
Beets ( yummmmm)
Cucumbers
Green beans
Lettuce

Just the 2 of us here...so 6 tomatos and 6 peppers,
3 rows green beans, 3 rows beets, 2 rows of cucumbers, one each of radishes and carrots, and only 5 pounds of seed potatos.
I can't waite to get it all in the ground! COME ON SUMMER!!

6 apple trees
3 pear trees
2 new hives of honeybees

next week the beans, watermelons, cantaloupe, taters, and in a few more weeks the okra and pumpkins.

Sam got about an acre(four plots) ready(tilled) to plant my (277a Extra TENDER-sh2) and (Esctase II-se) sweetcorn, probly get 2 plots in on saturday, Onion is in, Then when the time is right we do tomato, pepper, 3 types of pumpkins, and i always do grain sorgum for the wilds later in the season. Got my grapes all fed and they are getting ready to set leaves. should be a good year for the grapes...yummy..

Dad and I planted potatoes and bell pepper plants this week. I think it was too early to plant the bell peppers, but for some reason, Dad was impatient to get some planted! I think his mouth is watering for some stuffed peppers LOL. Aside from the bell peppers and potatoes, we're planting tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, and probably beans, melons, squash, lettuce, spinach, peas, zinnias, cosmos, batchelor's buttons and marigolds.

Today I transplanted and divided some perennials and moved them out of the old bed into the new one I'm planting. Fun, fun! I can't wait to play with the gardens some more

I'll be so glad when it dries up enough to do anything in the garden. Could be awhile, it's supposed to rain/snow most of the weekend. I'll mud around in the perennial beds. Gotta work on finishing the coop anyway. Everything sure has greened up though!
