Garden shed to coop: advice?

and it appears there are perforations in soffits. What is the implication of this?
What does the soffit area look like from the inside?
The perforations let air into an attic situation in conjunction wt ridge and/or gable venting on a residential building, but for a coop it's better to replace them with 1/2" hardware cloth for more air movement.

We converted an old barn into coup! For roosts, I use L shaped brackets ( the kind you use to hand shelves in house- screwed 2x4 to end and hung on wall, worked great! They really like it!
For nesting boxes- you can use cat litter boxes ect. You don’t have to be super handy or build a fancy coup for them to be happy! The one thing I did was paint the floor with a rubber roofing paint. Dried as waterproof barrier that keeps poop from rotting the wood. Hardware cloth is a must to prevent predators

The best Coop I ever had was a Garden Shed, I still have it but i have to use it for storage so its not a coop anymore. My only issue was keeping their water in the the coop its self because it lead to problems. Now all my coops have the water in the caged in run or over a part of the coop that a dirt floor. Water and wood floors are not a good combination.

By the time I saw the post asking for images inside where the soffits are, it was really dark. I'll get some when I get home today.

Floor in the shed is concrete. Should I still paint the floor...?

How do I open and close the windows after I put hardware cloth over them?

I've ordered those nest boxes off Amazon, I got two. I also got my paint, screws, nails and washers. I was afraid to buy wood yet, I might wait for that step when my husband can come with me to the store and help me measure.
