Chickens? Yeah, I do feed them! Wild birds? No. I have not done so for several years. Enjoyed it. Had rats move into my territory last summer. :( No intention of feeding birds in the near future. I have considered feeding the turkeys to keep them coming around my flock!
Oh yeah. Mice would be very unwelcome visitors!

I have antelope in the backyard

That is awesome! I love watching antelope move across the landscape at a distance...they seem to just flow over the terrain. We have plenty of White-tailed deer and Wild Turkey roaming about. Sometimes we come home to turkeys roosting on our porch.

We are wild bird addicts and grow native food resources all over our property. We keep the wild bird feeders well away from the chickens. I'm looking out the window at one of our feeding stations and there are about 200 Pine Siskins raiding the sunflower chips. They are like feathered locusts, but will move back north soon. Our love of wild birds led to my wife and I to open some wild bird feeding stores 25 years ago. Our son is taking over the show now :yesss: so we can get into trouble somewhere else and someday become full time chicken wranglers, bean pickers and herb growers.

These were all taken at the golf course/park we take care of. I need to get some new pictures, love to get some of the baby antelope but those little guys are super fast!

Weather was wet snow all day. Beautiful but took outdoor work away. I made 12 more birdhouses while D worked in her quilt cave with the parrot supervising. She finished a table quilt and is working on a set of placemats and matching coasters.View attachment 1305797
