Gardening for Old Folks (Adaptative)

Zone 5 update......... :gig:thumbsup
Well you get the point.... Those south of me get these earlier, and those north of me get later..
The next 3 pix are of a Lilly plant I got from a Friend many years ago. Slow to bloom (2 years to start, and then every year). Beautiful flower, JMO. The seeds are on the stem, which is the only plant I have to do such. Any one else have these???

This is a container grown Mini Kiwi. Second year. No fruit this year yet. (not important BTW) I like the green foliage it provides on the patio.

:thumbsup beautiful

went to the auction again today. bought hot banana peppers to stuff, local produce of course, they're a mixture of yellow and reds, big long peppers, now have to get some hot sausage to stuff them with and will enjoy them, thats another pepper i don't raise cause they're always so cheap to buy there altho i just might go ahead with a couple of red ones and take the seeds and dry , then see if i can start some next year. also bought a box of this years potatoes, what they call soup potatoes, i just call them little boiling potatoes:D we do enjoy our food and you can tell by looking at us:gig but we think lifes to short not to enjoy

Beautiful lilies @cavemanrich :thumbsup

Yup agree with @lazy gardener they are tiger lilies... Used to grow crazy at Mom's house in northern IN... Haven't seen many down here.

An update to my post back a week or so ago:#1976

The sod and mulch has been put down and the flowers are doing well! There are no plans to do the backyard yet, but at least I have a green front yard :D

Awesome! I need to clear the pasture above the birds and move them, but need a weekend without rain to do it as I have a few hundred little trees to take down before I can move them. Chainsaws, mud, and steep inclines don't play well together.

Whew, that sounds like a LOT of work Bob. Do you have anyone to help out? Glad you realize "chainsaws, mud, and steep inclines" can be hazardous to your health!

If you are careful, you can forget that you live on a dry windswept plain!

Lol, if I stay focused on the front!

Here's a thought...maybe I could rent out the back for a western movie. Have to get permission from the flock of course, but they're pretty easy going :gig
