we eat those to along with acorn and sweet dumpling , these are just winter squash , on the summer squash, there quite a few we eat but i like to try different types, you never know what you might be missingThere's a reason I only eat butternut or spaghetti squash.![]()
I did last year learn that some mini pumpkins are way tastier than squash. My mini Hooligan was so delicious. I grew a bunch this year too. They also take up less growing room so they can climb up my cattle panel trellis without being too much.we eat those to along with acorn and sweet dumpling , these are just winter squash , on the summer squash, there quite a few we eat but i like to try different types, you never know what you might be missing![]()
we just grew watermelons no squash, i can buy them at the auction and save the garden for other veggies, just finishing the green beans , still have kale, mustard greens, sweet potatoes , peppers, and i think there's some broccoli leftI did last year learn that some mini pumpkins are way tastier than squash. It is pretty much at the end here too. We haven't gotten a hard frost yet. I could have left my chard or planted lettuce but have been forced to close up shop early. I pulled up the last of my marigolds today. They were still going a bit, but I had to get it done. My husband will have enough to do, so I'm trying to not leave him any gardening chores this year. Winter seems to coming fast now. It's right around the corner here and so much to get done yet.I don't know about you OHLD but gardening season is pretty much shot here. Still have some peppers and tomatoes but that will end with the first frost.
