Gardening for Old Folks (Adaptative)

I give most of them away. At least one woman feeds them to her horses.

Some go to families whose kids love them and decorate them. One woman bakes the seeds and really loves how big the seeds from the big pumpkins are.

Some of them get fed to my poultry.

I have made pumpkin pies and pumpkin muffins from them too.
I never thought about horses eating them but why not?

Picked more pumpkins.

There were 45 pumpkins from these unintentionally planted ones. It was supposed to be watermelons. Some watermelon plants came up but didn't produce anything.

Worse yet they are people where horse meat is eaten.
Hey good morning I have cucumber that did not give fruit you could eat is shriveled icky.
Yes and there is a whole nation where cows are worshiped and taboo to be eaten.

Different cultures, not unethical or cruel.

You did plant allot of potato! I did not do half as many.
I planted 2 lbs. of Red Pontiac, 2 lbs. of Purple Viking, a handful of Purple and 2 Red Gold.

Once upon a time I was given a garden spot that had been a sawdust dump. I planted 2 lbs. of Red Pontiac and dug up 100 lbs. of potatoes. The largest one was 7 1/2 lbs.

I had never done as well before and have not done as well since.
