I found these cute little pots today for my little cacti and succulent.

My little shadow in the corner there. Going to goodwill for small white plates to put under these pots. I started the pothos as cuttings in water. The christmas cactus I inherited over the holidays but waited to transplant because it was blooming.

Both will come back but they will go to seed, so neither are edible the second year.

I have intentionally left carrots that were very immature over the winter and they were very good the following year. Mature carrots left over the winter will go to seed.

I saw some small pots for sale at Goodwill but no holes for drainage so i passed. They were pretty small anyways.

You are correct, I forgot about the little lost carrots, and was thinking about them being biannual.

I do get some rabbits around my yard occasionally. I have to be careful not to make a mistake.. One reason I avoid eating from the ground.

Carrots that have overwintered will be very sweet. But you gotta get them early before they start growing. All the sweet stored up in the root will be used up as they put on top growth and go to seed.

We have wild rabbits too, but not that many. More deer than rabbits.
Yes, the kitten in my avatar is one i bred. One litter for my female and i got to keep this guy as a lap cat since his mom prefers hubby. All three of the kittens are very friendly since i made a point of handling them daily. The people that bought them are thrilled and say they are the best cats they ever had! I just love raising animals!

My dog is so jealous, he won't allow the cats to come up and see me. He lays on the chair with me, and when the cats get too close, he chases them away. If the cats want to lay on someone, they usually jump up onto Hubs' lap.
