That storm came through here Friday night around 11 pm. The wind was ferocious! I've never heard it blow as hard as it did. We never lost power, but some areas around us were out of power for about 24 hours. Lots of downed trees. It was a mess. We got almost 1" of rain. The wind has been blowing since with gusts up to 30 mph.

It is snowing right now. Chicago zone 5,,,, BTW its April 16.:idunno

News showed Green Bay Wisconsin got 24 inches and roofs collapsed on buildings.

Hubby and I could have braved the freezing rain and gone to work. I am super thankful that he chose to stay home. Gone are the days when we would risk life and limb to get to a job that really, in the long run... it would not matter 6 months from now whether we risked our lives to get to in a storm... other than to a boss who micromanages such details.

I woke up to a wintery mix and according to radar it's snowing where I work. I'm in the south:he
I feel so sad for you folks up north and in the upper south. I have grown to dread winter. Here in East Texas it has been cool, but not too bad. Last Friday we did have a little rain and some strong wind. It knocked a branch off my pecan tree and hit my rain guage, so I have no idea how much we had. finally my roses are starting to bloom- the grass of course is dead- I put a weed and feed out a couple weeks ago- it killed most of what was on the ground. LOL. I stopped on my way out to take pics, and my dog peed on my purse. Lordy- only me.
