Interesting idea about the fabric softener! (And I agree with you, some of those things really smell )

Years ago I would tie a bar of Irish Spring to a tree. It would keep the deer away from that tree. Unfortunately I had too many trees and for me Irish Spring smelled so bad that I couldn't stand to tie a bar to every tree.

I have a new wasp of some sort that showed up last week.
And it keeps getting in my screened In porch. It's huge!
3" long and 1/2" around and it's red. I can't find any pics of anything even close to it in all the pics I've searched on Google. Have any of you ever seen this guy before?

Lg I'm in central Alabama.
That is not it. It's solid red and its huge. Like the size of a large grass hopper. I'll try to get a pic next time I see it.

Spent a little time out in the garden today. Not working, just sitting and enjoying the breeze and the scent of freshly opening peonies.

But...I’m spending most of the day hovering over the incubator. It’s hatch day!

Awww mama they are so cute I hope they all hatch!

Three out so far. One seems to have a hernia, so doubtful it will make it, but I don’t want to open the incubator to get it out yet. I always end up putting other hatching chicks in jeapordy when I open the incubator.

Just doing a dive by. It's Mother's Day week (I'm a florist and help my Mom during the holidays) and I won't have time to do much of anything until the weekend.

Everything is growing. I did have to replant some rattlesnake beans that didn't come up. Also my Boston picklers didn't sprout, so I bought some starts at the nursery. I couldn't find the seeds anywhere!
