Post a picture of it here, maybe someone will recognize it.

Personally I wouldn't expect an ER doctor to know all the insects that might bite a person.
i would if i still had the "body" but i gave it to my doctor to see if he could find out what it is, maybe if i can catch another one without crushing it , the way i caught the other one was he was biting me and i trapped him between my thumb nail and my skin.
NOW we have to worry about ticks, husband found one crawling on his head last night after his shower, he was hoeing the garden, i know a doe is in my garden at night, maybe from her

Do your chickens free range? I've been blessed not to have ticks yet this year, though folks all around me are reporting a heavy tick infestation year. My birds range my yard, and we also have wild turkeys.
right now i only have two grown hens, one broody and the other does roam around but we have 5 acres , the deer jump the fence, come thru the yard to get to the apple trees, not to mention my beans lol but my husband is going to electric fence the whole garden and see if that helps with the doe, when the young chickens get older will let them roam if i can keep critters away, not to mention the new neighbors dog was bending over pulling weeds from the tomato patch and heard a dog barking, raised up and its the dog barking at me in my own garden, we tried to chase it away but shes not to afraid, did i mention the doe hops our pasture fence too?

Funny how we use different words regionally. Maybe you should eat a head of garlic the night before?
yes, when i use the word biddy up here people don't know what i'm talking about, they use the words, peep, chicks, down south its always biddys but then i'm getting old and thats what my family called them
i love garlic and usually have it in something, but cooked not raw

Time to call ACO about that dog. Was the dog on YOUR PROPERTY while barking at you?
i would rather just talked to the new neighbor first, the dog was a rescue and yes. on our property in my garden in fact, not the first time either but we weren't here all winter but she was here a couple of times before with the lady chasing her, normally don't care unless shes chasing my chickens or tramping my plants:mad:

does anyone in their sixties and older attract little beetles that love their blood and you don't feel them biting until you start swelling and the bite feels like its on fire, then starts itching, itch usually last over a week? i guess its time for me to start wearing my "perfume" with at least 40 %deet (doctors orders) something just bit me on the hand and i smashed his or hers little head and the blood flew, mine, not it's , this started when i hit my sixies. sure would like to know what it is but so far can't find anything that looks like it on the internet. not your usual list of suspects
Take a gander through the pics...maybe you can find your culprit?
