:gigno, as you can see, its a old deep one, not like the new ones that are shallow. we had to keep cutting back the vines , they were taking over everything, i don't know if you could cut the vines and start more sp's or not but the vines did start putting down roots, might try that next year, in meantime have to figure out what to do with them:idunno

Love, love baked sweet potatoes with butter, salt & pepper on them! In fact, I bought a bag of them today just to have on hand.

:frow hi R2elk, glad to see you
i wish everyone was closer, would love to give y'all a mess, i love anything sweet but trying to cut the sugar out so no candied sp for me, but did love them that way too.
course i could try them with sugar replacement of some kind, and i do have different kinds on hand.

I'm with @N F C on the no marshmallows or brown sugar. Great way to make an inherently healthy food very UN healthy.

thought i would show y'all the sweet potatoes my husband dug this morning. all from three slips from a store bought sweet potatoView attachment 1569003 View attachment 1569004
Woozer! I tried growing them last year. Got about 1/2 pound of mini sweet potatoes from 3 plants. Didn't bother this year.

Too cold here. I tried one year, got some plants to grow but no potatoes. I even tried peanuts one year, plants grew fine but no peanuts. Growing season is just too short here.

I can't have sugar anymore so no candied sweet potatoes and it makes stealing honey from the bees seem pointless but at least other people get to enjoy it.
