so sorry, since we're back in pa now, i have alot of my things started in the greenhouse, at least the ones i start , we planted three 16' rows of peas, english and snap. also planted one long row of spinach, soon as it dries a little bit going to plant turnips
not trying to sound like i'm bragging(not) just saying that i'm happy to be playing in the dirt for real and hoping the same for you:hugs

hope everything goes like it should and you heal quickly:fl

can't give you a like on that one but my prayers go with you, rotator cuff's can hurt like a son of a gun and take forever to heal

Thanks for the kind words. I'm looking forward to digging in the dirt too, even if it's with one arm. I tried an experiment and seeded some cold crops before this snow. We will see if the seeds survive and germinate. If they do it will be spectacular. If not it's a few dollars in seeds. :fl

i started some flower seeds on the 11th, marigolds(i kept seeds from last year),zinna's and they're coming up already, others not yet
hoping your cold crops come up for you, i never have tried cold crops since we go to florida

I didn't need to do this, but I would like some more use out of my arm and am hoping this will do it.
That isn't too much to ask!

You could have played in the dirt the whole time you were in FL!

Seems like it should, after all if it didn't there wouldn't be any seed based plants in the frozen north right? I've had volunteer tomatoes pop up in the spring.

Curious. I wonder why, for instance, would the season in Georgia go down 10 to 20 days yet the season in South Carolina went up by 2 to 10 days? There are other bordering states with a large difference in the change.
good question why there is a bubble of later spring and earlier fall frosts... I found where I think they got the info from, but no explanation of why there. https://www.epa.gov/climate-indicators/climate-change-indicators-length-growing-season

i did play some with lettuce and tomatoes but couldn't plant my whole garden down there , we only stay about four or five months and then would have to leave with no one to take care of garden

I've been busy getting my shed in order. It has been such a mess over the last couple of years. I keep meaning to straighten it up, but before I know it the middle of summer is here and it's too hot to get out there and do it.

DH helped me put up a few shelves yesterday, and today I put up a few more. I have a lot of "little" stuff that needs to be up off the floor. I've got a few things shelved, but still have more to do. I'm hoping by the weekend I'll be finished.

My tomatoes are in. My green beans and cucumbers are up. I still need to plant my peppers, but giving them a little bit longer in their grow pots. We go down into the low/mid 40's Fri/Sat.

Hope everyone had a nice Easter! :bun :jumpy
