For the first time, one of my Russian Almonds has almonds on it.

Has anyone ever seen a flower grow like this? It's a Calendula. After the main bloom died 'tentacles' grew from the main flower head and bloomed, as you can see. It's like a Medusa flower.

I saw this happen on an Echinacea. I believe it's a weird mutation.

Hi! Just saw this link someone posted in the greeting forum! I got started a bit late in the veggie garden, but we've had greens all winter (kale) and swiss chard and spinach now. My snow peas are doing well but flopped over onto the path, green beans and cucumbers are vining well but I still have a ways to go because of getting them in late. Same with tomatoes and different kinds of peppers.

Lettuce is going to seed but I'm seeding some more, broccoli and cabbage doing well but still small. I don't mind them being late since they will mature after the major bugs and worms are done, haha! I should put up some pics that are on my phone.

I have a chicken and garden "compound" sort of, which isn't fancy but brings me ridiculous amounts of joy!

hi:frow
we go to florida every winter so i start some things down there and then bring back up here to pa but then have to wait til the last frost to set them out, the tomatoes started producing tho(patio type) as soon as i could i started lettuce(deer ate) so i just let them have it and husband put a electric fence to keep the out of the other things but like you i was late but like i said, happy with what 'm getting, enough to freeze and will be canning before long if this weather allows me too, its been crazy here, hotter than blue blazes then storms blow up and it pours. i have several chicken tractors, different kinds in different tractors i also love the garden and chickens i think we all do or we wouldn't be here:D
