We got some more snow today but then it got sunny and warmed up above freezing for several hours. That was nice since it melted the rest of the ice off my car. I last drove it on Monday but my ToyotaCare runs out in a couple of weeks so I took it in today for the last free service.

cold here. minus 41 wind chill this morning. actual minus 20 F..
It doesn't bother me as long as I don't have to go outside..
The first batch of wine is in the clearing bucket. I should be able to bottle it on Monday or Tuesday.. I took a sample glass and sweetened it today.. really tasted good..

DW Annie just took the car for a ride. She likes to keep it "lubricated" she says.
asked if I wanted to ride along. Just the fact that I am typing on my keyboard should answer that question..
How do you locate a specific forum on byc? I am looking for brewing beer forum.
somebody told me to go there.

There is no specific Beer Brewing forum on BYC. There are a number of Beer Brewing threads in the Hobbies forum.

This is one of the threads.

Yah, I checked in on one of the beer threads. Like so many others, it is not a lively thread..
On Tuesday we bottled 5 gallons of blackberry wine. have two more 5 gal batches to do.. First I have to wash some more bottles..
the beer is priming slowly in the fruit room. I might have to raise the temperature in there a bit.
going to PT twice a week. those are the only days I go outside. the temperature has not been above 5F for over a week.
minus 20 this morning.

Since it is still winter here in WI, and -19 yesterday morning, no gardening for me. I am currently on layoff and need something to do. All you gardeners in the south are making me jealous, so making seed tapes is about all I can do. Hopefully, i will have success as it is my first time trying to do this. I will be making carrot, onion, lettuce, spinach and beet tapes.
It is way too early to start any seeds, as the last frost is about May 22. One site I looked at said June 1!

It's only -11°F here.

We have been in the negatives for over a week - almost 2 weeks now. We had a snowstorm when the cold front came through 2 weeks ago and the non-highway roads are still frozen over.

@R2elk I hope you guys start warming up soon, I am tired of this cold. I had a friend who lived in Lead and his weather took 2 days to get to me in western WI.
BTW, I am envious of your living room garden.

One year, I planted a wooden gun crate as a salsa garden as a house warming gift for a friend when he moved into an apartment with a balcony. I figured he could just shut the lid at the end of the growing season and then replant it in spring. He loved it, so when winter came and frost hit the plants, he shut the lid and moved it into the living room to protect it from the snow. A couple weeks later, he noticed a green sprout growing out from under the lid and opened it up. He had a flat tomato plant that covered most of the soil. He tied it up with string and grew tomatoes all winter.
