gas tank doors

Either Royicus or my Dad, unless I'm in the state of Oregon, then the employees do.

And no, you can't borrow them.

Well, if you come to Oregon, you can take the workers. It's illegal to pump your own gas in Oregon.

My car has a passanger side tank...and my mom's car...and my dad's car...and my grandma's car...and 5 of my friends (1 has a drivers side, I did a quick poll)

My gas tank door is on the passenger side. But I don't usually put gas in my car. Either I talk dh into taking it when he goes to town, so he can fill it up, or I stop at a full service station. I like staying warm when it is cold. Oh, and I don't drive a luxury car, I drive a dodge neon, the only thing that makes it special is the personalized plates with my name on the plate.

New Jersey Law requires that employees pump all gas, and if on turnpike they are not allowed to stretch the hose across the car, so you must pull straight in to pump.

So I guess I'll tell my dad that there was something in the way on the driver's side, and so the gas tank won't fit there.
And I'll tell my dad that it will give him the opportunity to check for flats and dings!!!!!!! He'll get a kick out of that.

You will find that most Japanese and European cars have rights side gas
tank inlets. Gas tanks are not typically on either side, only the inlet is.

American cars and all full size pickups/vans have drivers side inlets.

Mine is on the passenger side. (GERMAN CAR)

Aren't most accidents on the drivers side of the car? Perhaps that is the reason.

I used to have an Eclipse. The tank was on the right side. It didn't bother me though. I pulled up to a gas station once and a man got mad that my car was facing his. He said "Why is your tank on the wrong side, that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Now I have to go around you to get out of here". I simply told him that if he had a problem with my car then he should fly to Japan and take it up with the guys who made it...rude a$$.

My car is American made and has its gas door on the passenger side. It's never bothered me one bit. My car is small, reliable, and gets great gas mileage so why fuss about where the gas cap is? Plus, it's the first car I've owned and driven, so I'm not used to the gas cap being anywhere else
