They are doing well. They're very solid heavy birds, though they have a finer bone structure that hides the weight. They could probably go off heat right now, they're in the basement as it's been below freezing until this week.

Have 3-4 more young bresse about 4 days old. I'll track their progress too starting at 4 weeks.

No, these are the first I have hatched, and will be parent stock. It will be several months before any make it to the table.


New 7 week Weight Data - note that in the last week (6 days actually) the bresse rooster and hen gained 8 oz and 6 oz respectively, more than any of the others.
