Where did you get them?We eat the eggs and I also carve the shells or decorate them. Each egg which she lays every other day, is the equal to 3 chicken eggs. I don't have room to have a bunch of babies. She doesn't seem to miss them. Lots of protein I have to say

I have pilgrims and that's the only goose I have had. It depends which breed strikes your fancy. Pilgrims are the only breed that you can tell which sex they are from the moment of hatch.Which breed is best?
What size are they? Are they aggressive?I have pilgrims and that's the only goose I have had. It depends which breed strikes your fancy. Pilgrims are the only breed that you can tell which sex they are from the moment of hatch.
They are about 15 #. From February thru June the gander is more aggressive. He is not aggressive towards me as he has imprinted on me. The goose has always been shy around me. During the rest of the year they let me know if there are intruders on the property beast or man. The male is very protective of his property but I think most geese are. I think you asked in one of the threads what to feed them. Most time they graze on grass. I always have free choice manna pro game bird/show bird pellets 20% protein. They always have free choice grit and during breeding season I have free choice oyster shell as well. They also have cut grass hay, free choice and during the real cold spells I mix a little scratch in with the pellets. Water is always available. What size are they? Are they aggressive?
