They look like African geese to me. Does the smaller one have a dewlap (flap of skin under the jaw) as well?

Chinese geese are smaller and have no dewlap.

If this is your first time with geese, I highly suggest getting a book or two about them. I would suggest A Book Of Geese by Dave Holderread and Chris Ashton's Domestic Geese.

When you go to your feed store ask them what they have on hand for geese. Keep them in a secure pen, away from predators.

Try offering treats. If that doesn't ease them up to you, take away their food. Only feed them when you are in the pen with them. Stand nearby, and don't move away. The geese will be wary at first, but when they become comfortable with you, move a little closer. Keep doing this until they are comfortable with you standing at the food bowl. Try offering the food with your hand, and covering/taking away the other food. :)

Good luck with your new birds!
