I got a couple of serama laying hens. I’ve had them about 3 weeks now and thought it was due to previous owners diet.
Anyway, they obviously lay small eggs but the yolk inside LOOKS normal but it is thhhiiccckk. Like someone added gelatin. I can’t easily whisk them up and after really really trying to whisk- there’s still parts of hooped up egg..
Is this a small egg layer thing or what could I be missing?

Also these are fresh day old eggs not stored in fridge..

Weird! Never heard of anything like that.
Do you mind snagging some pictures of their eggs?
Do you know how old they are? Are they all laying eggs like that?
What did the previous owner feed them if you know? What are you feeding them now?
