Agreed! I miss my first Cochin, Emma, she was a good broody mama! Do you want to post a picture?

The only assisted hatch I have happens to be a cochin mix. She is the sweetest chicken I've ever seen. And very smart, too! I'll certainly miss her when she's gone, which I hope is many years from now.
I now have 2 cochins who are 8 weeks. Already beautiful (to my eyes, at least

I'm so glad many of the breeds and colours shown on here are not available in New Zealand. I just couldn't help myself! That is one beautiful Cochin Bantam (we call them Pekin Bantams) and as for that Volwerk hen - WOW!

It's scary how many different breeds and varieties we have here. Scary because lately I've been wanting them all

Buff Leghorn rooster? Very pretty bird!

Common white egg layer breed I can think of is Leghorn, so x3 on that.
