Hello everyone! Let's have some fun to mix in with the anxiety of not knowing what gender your chicks may be!
Decided to create a thread for weekly progression posting and fun guessing on gender/breed
Anyone is welcome to add their current mystery chicks and update each Friday! Don't stop until the Rooster Crows!! (or someone pops out an egg)
I figured this might be a good way to document the differences in growth in each gender or breed.
Feel free to include any known helpful information such as age, breed of parents, behavior, etc. and quality pictures of the specific features of your chicks! (feet, comb, feathering, wattles, etc.)
No chick is too young to take a fun guess at!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have 3 "Sapphire Olive Eggers" currently at about 3 weeks of age, from Rural King in Gainesville, FL purchasing from Privett Hatcheries
Parents should be a Copper Maran crossed with an Ameraucana, not sure which was which.
I'm hoping pullets! What's your guess??
Pearl:
Dolly:
Alma:
Alma here is feathering out slower and it's worrying me
