Gender Guessing Game: my EE/Barnyard mix hatch....

Hatched AUG 11-14

DALE (because we had to have Chip & Dale, gotta love kids): very nervous for the camera, darts in & out of trouble in the bunch. Also the last to hatch, I almost gave up on, but knew I should wait it out & glad I did. Lemme guess, another roo?? Arrgghhh....

SHASTA (because there was a 12pack of Shasta soda sitting on the counter, and we said why not? Rofl) multi-colored, yellow legs, all around amazing cockerel, will be keeping him and probably Chip. I also call him Superman because he defends whomever is being picked on. šŸ‘

Cockerel.

Sorry. Pretty bad odds.
Thanks, yeah I know, right?? We've had an awful year all around. Culled 5 deformed chicks, had fowlpox in the older flock and almost lost 3, had the pullets attack the roo who now has a bachelor pad, ended up with 5 cockerels of 8 chicks we bought. Hoping 2021 will be better! I'm ready to quit, but I love my chickens!! So I'm hanging in there.
