I would say a Speckled Sussex cockerel, from the first pictures I can see saddle feathers.

Really hard to tell. Can you hold the bird with one hand and take the photo with the other, so it's closer without the cage in the way?

Updated images to come with cooperation from my mobile device! Much lighter new neckfeathering and saddle area short feathers comin in,.. Still amazing how fast they change, some images the comb and waddle show up more red than others. Its extremely light fleshy colored to me thanks so much
