Is this male? It's my most outgoing chicken, it learned early on that it could use me as a roost and has since always just come up to me when it sees me. Its comb/wattles don't look as big/red as other males of the same age I've seen, but it's always looked different than my other chicken of the same type.

Chicken on the left - the tail looks different than the one on the right and the legs look bigger. The wattles are showing and it's a bit pink/red.

Bonus Question:
I have an "extra" chicken that has come into my yard and decided to stay. I think it thinks it's part of my flock now.
Is this just a weird mixed breed of chicken? It's quite an ugly chicken. Also would this be a rooster?

Awesome, Thanks! I bought the two red ones as a straight run, as well as a Silkie (which I think may be male by how it acts (it's not outgoing, it's timid with me, but not with the other chickens) - we have hawks around and if it hears it, it does this trilling sound that all the birds will suddenly just "freeze", it also chases my other chickens around in the morning and tries to initiate chest bumps) It's adorable. I haven't had any other chickens though to really compare to, so I've just been watching and waiting to see.
