gender please

Ive thought for the past five weeks that this little "guy" was a roo. Recently ive had two People say they think hes a hen. What does everyone else think?

Also this little roo has an odd look to his head and neck. Looks a bit frayed or something. Its almost solid grey. Ideas or is it just me?

Glad I don't have cash riding on this because my inexperience told me they were both hens, depending on their age?

Hopefully they are! Older one i First two pics is about 18 weeks. Little one at the bottom is around 11--12. Weeks.

The Barred Rock with the "Gray" Neck may be a cockerel. Sometimes you can tell by their feet.

Look like hens to me. Roosters are more white in the body usually.

Thanks everyone. I think they're both hens now too which is great. I startes really looking at their color and six out of my eight barreds are alot darker with the thicker black lines. Hopefully I have them figured right.
