Gender???

So birdrain your 10 week old male in the first picture has that fish scale look to his neck. Mine is getting that look too. So males and female both will have the scale look, but males will have blue too? And the light chick definitely has orange primary feathers. The orange is only in males then?
What Dylansmom means by fish scale is something like this. Don't pay attention to the chick look at the mom in the back. See how the neck feathers are wide not long? That's what she means by fish scale also the neck feathers on hens look like a scale pattern while males at a young age have long narrow neck feathers but when older it looks similar to blue skin. Usually orange stays with male unless it's BS hen they have orange primaries with black near the shaft of the feather; and Spalding hens can too. Spalding hens can have barring, orange primaries, and color on the head. They tend to be darker though than an IB hen.

IB hen with chicks. See how she has brown on her head and a dust brown wings?

Spalding hen. Her wings are darker have some barring and has green on the head.

I will post some pics of their wings up close. How about there tails? Can you guys tell anything from those?
At this age I don't think it will do any good. If these were White peafowl at a year old it could help because hens tail feathers stay about the same length while males tail feathers tend to be different size.

Thanks for taking a look at them. Yeah the dark chick has a green neck. But now I do see some black feathers in the wings. His orange isn't as bright as your chicks.

Here is a pic of him stretching lol.

With those dark brown shoulder feathers on the left that is a hen trait, seeing color coming in on the head this could be a Spalding hen.

I'm thinking your right, maybe the dark one is a Spaulding hen. Cause it does have a lot of green growing in on the neck.

Spalding hen can have neck like neck this.
Spaldings are usually darker but are more colorful. They have a red or buff lacing around the color, the hens tend to have longer tail feathers than an IB hen. In this photo there's the Spalding hen up front, IB Black Shoulder hen behind, and a White cock in the back.

Here are a few more pic I just took.

And the lighter one.

In this picture I'm thinking male mainly just because my hen didn't have this much black on her

Same with this photo but Dylansmom has more experience with BS and just peafowl in general then I do so I would take her word. She could be seeing something I'm not so go with her word. If peachick progressively gets more black then it would be a cock but I would listen to Dylansmom.
I do have to ask a question. What is the tone of the black area on the lighter chick; is it Jet Black, or Charcoal gray?

I think its gray. Here is the best picture I can get.

The feathers have like a scallop pattern and the darkest part is in the center. It's a dark gray I wouldn't say black though.

That looks hen to me. You have two hens. Sorry it took so long to figure the chicks sex out. If the lighter one end up getting a lot more black then it's a male and I mean a lot more black.

That's ok. It's really hard to tell from pictures. I just keep worrying that if I get a male it will be super noisy and I will get a ticket. So far they have been very quiet. Hopefully in a year or two I will be able to move to a place with some land and can get these girls a male friend.

Peahens call too. Both sexes will call out to find a mate. Peafowl tend to be quieter when they have a mate with them they can see all the time but I've yet to be able to keep my male completely silent during breeding season but he will only call when he gets let out and right before I lock him up for the night.
