Is my Polish chicken a hen or a roo? She is about 4 and a half months. She’s not crowing but loud and in charge. She is definitely redder and bigger around the face than the other two. What do you think?

100% sure this one is female. That variety of Polish are usually good layers, too.

Definitely a female… no visible comb, I had two hens like that, thought Ghost was a male until I saw her getting chases by my rooster and she didn’t start crowing and Crow I always thought was a female but once she started getting big and got her comb and waddles before the others I was thinking maybe a really nice rooster but nope she’s just half lavender.

Such beautiful chickens though, I can’t wait till I can find some polish hens! I’ve managed to get silkies and a few with Mohawks, beards and muffs but the polish with hair like that look like so much fun

Love your birds! Tysm for your reply. The Polish hens crack me up!! They are the most adventurous of my flock. I can’t have roosters so I’m glad everyone thinks she’s female. Yay!
