Gender?

I know, but I did not know that when I bought them, and when I got them the person who helped me was not helpful. I even told them I wanted them as pets and for eggs and pest control. He asked if I was going to eat them I said no. So he picked a few different types out for me. Needless to say I specifically got Houdini because I was told she was a Light Brahma turns out to be (the Delaware/sussex/ I do not know what) so again the guy that helped was not helpful at all.

I'd advertise him on craigslist for someone to butcher. You may not like it, but they tend not to live long lives anyway, and if you'll have to get rid of him cause of his gender, you shoul start now to find someone you'll be comfortable with giving him an humane end.

I have thought about that as well and I have thought about giving him to someone who will give him a good home but letting him live too much longer would be just as cruel. I do not believe in the people who cut their food intake that is just not right either so I would be a hypocrite in letting him live. It's so sad but does anyone no a link on here that I can go to to see if someone would want him. I would feel better about giving him to someone on here, why else would people be here if they did not love their pets. So maybe they would be nice about it and humane about it.

I have a meatie hen who will be 3 come May. Shes not on a real bad diet, just doesn't get anymore food than my regular birds get. I did lose most of the other hens to egg laying and the two roosters died of heart attacks on the roost (yes I looked to see what happened to them) Two ton sally gets around pretty good for about 30lbs of bird! There are others who have kept them alive longer than the butchering age as well, so you might find him a home. She is beautiful. I'll have to look and see the links because I am not allowed roosters, so i'll see what I can do.
