Genetic calculator

True, if you have a bad internet connection (or an old PC) it doesn't work smoothly (downloading pics etcetera).
I do have a package to download and install on your PC if you like.
Downside is that your copy of my software would not be updated automatically.

I do think that you should master my calculator because you want to build a similar thing.
There are not that many ways around its methods.

Go for it!
When you are finished there will be one more person that got into the abyss and made it back

I'm with Sonoran Silkies....I LOVE Henk's calculator. It took a little while of playing with it to get comfortable, but its great. AND anytime I have had questions Henk has ALWAYS been available to help me, just a PM away.

I am an engineer but this genetics stuff just totally blows my mind.....so many possible combinations.

Best of luck with your endeavor!!!!

I'm still learning how to manipulate Henk's calculator but I am very glad I found it. I'll submit another reason to learn to use his. If we all use the same tool, we can talk to one another in the same language. If we use different tools, we just confuse each other when we talk.

Does a cheat sheet exist somewhere that has the different breeds' genetic makeup that could be put into Henk's calculator? I know there are different ways to get the same colors or patterns and that there is always incertainty in what is hiding in the recessive genes of chickens, but a cheat sheet that has the probable input for certain breeds would be a great starting point, at least for some of the standard colors/patterns. Maybe it exists and I haven't found it, but I'd love to be able to click on Delaware or Speckled Sussex to populate the genetic choices. I'd also be very glad to go to a spread sheet and get the data to manually populate the calculator.

TIA.

I just did a research paper on fuzzy logic, with plant selection for phytoremediation sites. Fuzzy logic is the use of a value between 1 and 0 for the liklihood of choice to handle uncertainty in the discrepancies of the data to help choose the best possible outcome.

whoa . . . ! you are already way over my head LOL! I think you are going to fit in reat with Henk and Tim and the gang of brains on here! I love the idea of a reverse function that could be used in simple format for us NON brains. Good luck

I didnt know you made that!!!

Very Impressive!

I love using it, but there is one question I have if you dont mind...

On a couple of the crosses I made it came up with " Khaki? Unicolor."

I was wondering what the question mark means. Does that mean it may not appear khaki?
