A lot has to do with your definition of a "By-Product" weather it be Plant or Animal, but when it comes to Feed and Feed Stuff a By-Product is a plant and animal not suitable for human consumption.
So if you are feeding bruised, soft, poor quality fruits and vegetables, eggshells, outdated products even scraps from your table you are feed you birds By-Product.

I see nothing wrong some By-Product in poultry feed. I would rather feed a poultry feed with By-Product in the form of Fish Meal, Porcine Meat Meal, Feather Meal or simply Meat and Bone Meal than feed them a feed that gos agents there nature of being a Omnivore.

I agree with you 100 percent but, a bag of feed in my area is 13.00 and up. I like to buy from a farmer who uses whole grains and quality minerals like Fertrells.
