So this is where I'm at. We have the option to use our own pictures.
I'm thinking if I can figure out how to fill out everything correctly we can change the finishing/design and maybe figure out how to put this into a plugin for the site (BYC)

At some point, it might be very beneficial if the group of us working on this can get together on a discord or something and view my screen using a screen share so that we can work through this together.

Thats a good idea. Ive used discord before, but i know nothing of programming. I suppose theres no way to hide the actual sciency part and have it still be functional.

Exactly. I mean, I would like to eventually get it to a point where the programming and genotypes were in the background and all the user saw were breeds and dropdowns for patterns/colors and then the phenotypes of the resulting crosses.

Oh, maybe we could have it like that with an "advanced" button so that people who know what theyre doing can alter it more. Or also a show genotype for those who are trying to learn.

Good idea. Or we can copycat Kippen and have a 'hide genotypes' option.

I have a feeling a LOT of what we are going to do to program this will have to come from Kippen because they're the leader in this field right now. They basically already have what we want but not as user friendly or refined.

Okay well if I can learn programming enough to program a webpage it would appear that I have the option to change the layout of this calculator.

I havent used kippen much because it was too difficult. But it does seem like a good starting place. Having as much as we can with the other traits added would be a nice thing to set ours apart too, but there really isnt a ton of research into all of the things we want to add.

I should try to get my egg stuff in order. Everything else i looked into had less info than the eggs.
