Genetics Professor looking for Albino Chicken Feathers

At Cornell, they had a flock of white leghorns that truly were albinos, not simply silver factor, dominant white, etc. They had no pigment in their eyes. Of course it's been many years since I graduated ('77), but you might try contacting the poultry science department at Cornell (New York State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Ithaca, NY).

My boy looks like these two Splash Copper Marans, but his body shape is more sporty.

He's lacking color because he's probably dominant white. Having light eyes and pink skin doesn't mean albinism is involved. It's also very unlikely he would carry the gene since he's a mutt.

I used to have a hen who people thought was albino. Her name was Chenoa and she was a Douglas White. (Douglas White's are a breed that I bred myself) She had white feathers and white legs. I rehomed her this spring for she was three years old, so I no longer have her. I do have one of her feathers, but I dyed it to a different color and it is now attached to a necklace.
Why are you so interested in albino chickens? I have an interest in blue eyed chickens. I currently have a Silver Duckwing Old English Game bantam rooster that is mottled with blue eyes. He might have albino in him? He has grown a lot of white feathers in places that should be black.

Sounds more like he's heavily mottled.

Split sex-linked Albinism is the imperfect form of Albinism that will result in some pigments of color to leak through behaving in a similar manner as Dominate White.
Let's just wait until this professor runs a genetic test on my feathers, & see who's correct?

His daughters are white. Black spots, & black skin patches. Their skin is pink. His son is Wheaten, with pink skin.

The professor wasn't able to look at the feather Samples due to Covid19.

So doesn't look like the chicks were albino? Have you bred one of his daughters back to him yet? If he is indeed split to sex-linked albino then bred to his daughters he should produce some albino progeny, right?
