I like the color of your Silkie/EE chicken. I'm not seeing much of a crest yet, compared to what you see on a Silkie chick, so maybe a small tuft, either way will be a cutie.

she will be midway between the size of the silkie and the wyandotte, her color will be close to what the wyandotte looks(blue laced red) but it could be also be black laced redCan we tell if she will be banty size or standard size?
Can we tell what color she will be as an adult?
at this stage dont mess with them...please...So far. I placed eggs under my broodies as I'd get them over a period of a week or so. Don't give up hope yet. I'll candle them in a bit.
I think it's better to just hold the eggs you want her to incubate and then place them all under her at once, that way you have them all hatching over the same 48hours or so. Doing it your way, she often won't stay on the nest long enough to allow those last placed eggs to fully develop. So far. I placed eggs under my broodies as I'd get them over a period of a week or so. I have heard of this - but have not been successful in doing it. A few boys have had light skin, but a few have also had black skin. This was with a light skinned silkie and a black skinned silkieoh and you will produce Sex Links also, girls will have black skin, boys will have yellow skin...AWESOME...! I love silkie crosses, hey keep us updated on this, as I´m doing a research on this matter... thanks
WOW... oh boy oh boy this is what I´ve been waiting for.... now I´ll pray so he can grow to be a strong cockerel and reveal his genetic secrets to me
