You go rhodiegal! I am having a good laugh about the Tyson chickens wondering the highway. Been there and done that before many times. In my day I guess I have rescued quite a number from the highway that fell from the trucks while on the way to slaughter. Any wonder why we run across them from time to time wondering about............Gainesville is the poulty capital of the WORLD!

Sharpsburg, GA here. It is about 45 minutes south of Atlanta. I am expecting my first peeps the week after next. We have been working on the hen house/brooder for a couple of weeks now. I can't wait!! I'll post pictures later.

I'm out in the woods between Jasper and Ellijay, and have 80 layers (RIR, Golden Comets, and Black sex links) and beginning in about a month I will be raising 25 pastured broilers a week through November.

I also have a small goat dairy producing about 75 gallons of milk a week along with kefir and cheese.

I'm from Dawsonville GA (north Ga) and I'm about to start my Flock. Does anyone know of a Hatcheries or anyone whos selling chick in Ga?

it is a variety of bantamsthe seller put initials on the eggs but haven't got a response as to what they stand for they're supposed to be Pyle Old English Old EnglishJapanese black tail and some white faces

what kind of pullets?are you selling them or already promised out?

They are cornish crosses with RIR/ Buff Orpington... I rescued them from a guy on the Savannah Backyard Facebook page. He could only have 5 because of city limits so I took the rest in and they were in terrible shape!!!!! I had to treat them with antibiotics, dust them for lice and mites (they were infested) and now they are looking healthy and filling out! They are on week 2 of my quarantine. But he is supposed to pick them up along with roosters so we shall see! I will keep you in mind if it falls through.
