German New Hampshire

I see some things, but Walt would be better for commenting.

Good luck with him.

If you use a NH to improve your Delawares, plan on a lot of work cleaning up the brassiness. Simply putting silver with silver tends to be hard to clean up the brassiness. A Barred Rock would help clean it up.
Just noticed today that this cockeral has two main tail sickle feathers that have white starting on the bottom of the feather extending up the feather about 1 1/2 ". I know this can possibly happen from injury but doubt that is the case with this bird. I am assuming it would not be good to breed this bird?

I am having trouble telling sex on my German New Hampshires. When they start to get some ticking in the hackles, then I know they are pullets. Can someone please tell me if you agree this one is a cockerel? "He" is almost 2 months old.

I would say it is a rooster but needs a little more time to tell for sure. Black in the hackles does not always mean girl, I have had a few boys with black in the hackle.

I think cockerel....but I have some with ticking and I also have some pullets that start getting a comb early.
Just give it a little more time and look for the sickles to start if its a cockerel.

Yes I would say Cockerel as well and also ditto on the males with ticking!

Thank you all for your help with sexing this chick. It doesn't really matter to me, I have a ton of these growing out, but I'm trying to sell the last 4 of the youngest ones and a potential buyer wanted at least one male and I think the other 3 his age are all pullets. I think the shipping cost has scared him off, though, since I haven't heard back
