Nice! The pullet in the second picture is as nice as any I've ever seen. When did German get added to the name of New Hampshires?
nice...
They do look to be light and even in color but what caught my eye first is that they have a lot of lacing in the breast. They sure are pretty;are these pure German strain or a half and half mix from another American strain? just curious is all they seem to be a lighter more even shade than pure German stock.![]()

This is what Mr. Braden responded to me in an email. I'm still waiting to hear back from him as to where his stock originated from. I will ask him about the "lacing" on the breasts. The birds are at my Daughter's home in OK so I haven't actually seen them up close, she will deliver them to me next month. The picture was taken with a phone camera and it may just be poor quality. Mr. Braden was generous enough to give me a start and I will work with what I have. We have all had to start somewhere. Thank you all for comments. I'll post more pics when I get them home.
"Hi Nan,
I started breeding NH about eight years ago and had a flood a couple of years ago and it got all my NH. I started again with this German line about one year ago. I had them when I was a boy and always liked them very well.
Have a great day, Bill"
I found out where they are from they ARE from GNH stock maybe a little(wee-bit) American mixed in there but not much. considering their origins.
Just sayin' anyway they look just good and fine the lacing is not a big deal anyhow as they are in juvinile plumage now and will molt once more before POL they will more than likely still darken a bit more then also.
