Get Fit Together

Don't do stuff you hate, for sure.
My husband hates running with a passion yet it seems to be his go to. Naturally that turns into him not working out very often.

I think the main reason I enjoy it is I like feeling strong and looking great. 💪I feel so good when I'm consistent.
Also a short workout is far, far better than none at all. Sometimes we tell ourselves we shouldn't bother if we don't have time for a 20, 30, 40 minute work out because it's not enough to get results, and that's not true.
I have had great success with 5 minute work outs and stack them when I have extra time/desire.

My motivation is all vanity. I'm healthy as a horse. I went to get my everything checked after I put on weight post-chemo. Dr. said she wished her numbers were as good as mine. She even told me not to worry too much about losing weight since it wasn't causing any real issues. She advised me to take it verrrrry slowly. But I'm getting impatient - haha!

I find it's hard to stay consistent when I'm the only one in my household who is into it. And time - or the lack thereof - is a BIG factor.
Time is the worst one for me. I need to prioritize exercise above almost everything else, or I'll never get to it at all. I could always be doing something else. But health is hard to get back once it escapes.

That's good to hear! I am fairly healthy as well but some close family members have been struggling with bone loss and injuries from weak muscles and I want to prevent that.

My father passed at 53 from a heart attack. I want to be around as long as I can, so that is my main motivation. -can't control some things, but I want to do what I can to stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible.
:hugs I'm sorry. I'm glad you've managed to take something hard and turn it into motivation to do better. ☺️
