Yeah, i didn't put the window box in yet because i need to plant it and put screen over it yet.

Well, i do other things besides work on experiments. Collect kindling, feed birds, take breaks, yack on BYC, throw stick for dog repeatedly...

So I did get all my coops, including the duck chalet cleaned out today and new hay put in the nesting boxes..... whew that's a lot of work for a day of rest lol

The solar heater did well so far. It was 45 outside and 55 inside! No ice in the water despite a layer in the dog dish!

29 here last night. 45 was noon but there was still ice in the dog dish. Not in the chicken waterer.

Yep, dog dish was in the shade. Not sure how long the sun warms the solar cage but it gets the afternoon sun!

I should add that i am not a morning person so i rarely get out there in the morning. There is only one direction blocked from the sun by the coop and that is north.
In other news, i dug a trench and planted another bag of daffodils today. One more bag of those and one of tulips and i will be done. Unless i buy more! Did i mention that i really love spring flowers?
