well it was a really good day fishing, the bite was on. i got around 30 fish, my brother got maybe 45-60 fish and my dad got 63 fish (he keeps count of how many he catches) but was a really awesome day, out of all those fish we kept maybe 14 perch (we are allowed 10 each but i only keep 3) and me and my brother both got a pike. (and both where perfect eating size) so fish for the smoker :)

I used to love to ice fish....right out in front of our house.
Mostly crappie and bluegills.
that is awesome, i have never fished or even seen a crappie or bluegill in person. we don't have them where we live. but that would be awesome just fishing right in front of your house.

Nice looking fish. :drool
thank you, they should be good eating.
I have not seen a perch in like 30 years! So pretty! I do not fish much, used to a lot when i was younger. Once you have kids you are super busy.
ya i can believe that, (i don't have kids) but my family always liked taking us when we where younger fishing. just got to become tradition to fish with the family.
but perch are a really pretty fish in my opinion :)

It was very, very cool. Being able to walk back to the house to pee was priceless.
Had a 6mo son at the time, on a mild non-windy day I could feed him his lunch, put him in his backpack and he'd fall asleep while I was fishing. There were a bunch of old retired guys out there all the time, if I didn't catch anything they'd give me theirs as their freezers were full and they were all a bit smitten with my 'pluck'. Thanks for sparking the trip down memory lane, haha, what a trip!

It's a beautiful November day! 23 above, sunny. It was 14 at daybreak. The girls are doing well although all but 2 stopped laying when we had single digits the first week of the month. Much as they seem to love their coop, they might be searching for "new digs". <G>
