Just curious how getting the chips relates to laying eggs?
Happy chickens = more eggs, I find that if I keep them active, or the more scratching, playing, and feeding options I give them, the happier they are, and the more eggs I get. I actually was down to 4 a day now I am back up to 8 from my 9 hens.

How bizarre, got an email from chip drop today...
.....coincidence or are they data mining BYC?
I got one as well.....advertising how Winter is a great time to ask for chips....

Edit to add that I am sure it was a coincidence. I have ordered from them a couple times. So I am in their lists. Sure it didn't come from these posts on BYC. But mysterious nonetheless.

I also got an email from chipdrop -- the arborist that did my chip drop left cards and asked me for business, but, I am sure they are trolling, I told them i got the tip from this site!

Businesses don’t troll they just respond to your level of interest. Even if you just visit a website with no order that hit is tracked. We leave an electronic footprint everywhere we go. I get advertisements too just based on viewing. Can always unsubscribe, spam it, or ignore them. Sounds like people enjoy the chip drop may have to check it out for next year.

Businesses don’t troll
Troll might not be the right term...rather it has various definitions.
They most certainly do 'search' for keywords, either manually or automatically, and visit forums...as well as the click 'interest' or cookie captures.

ChipDrop is the best! Helped us redo our whole front yard from grass to garden. I now use it in the run. We have received a couple of drops in the past 2 years. Good stuff! The girls love it! ....this post reminds me that I need to wheel a few more loads into the run with the incoming rain storms.
