Gettin me a Polish!!!

Our local feedstore recieved their new McMurray shipment in and they got some polish chicks in.. So Wednesday I will be the owner of another baby!!! This one is a Buff Laced Polish. I can't wait!!!!


Jessica, Wife, Mother to five kidlets, and mama hen to 1 BO, 1 SLW, 1 Araucana, 1Lt Brahma, and s00n to be 1 Buff Laced Polish!

I bought some black/whites from a local breeder.

They're about a month old now.

I love my Polish chickens! The chicks are so curious and friendly! I hatched out some of my Polish eggs and have some 4 week old chicks. They are a lot more fun than the Wyandotte and Maran chicks! They fly out when I lift the lid (oven racks!) and sit on my knees- they they have to go peek into the other totes and check out the other chicks!

Yeah, I noticed my Polish chicks are way more inquisitive than my other chicks.
If I put something into the brooder, they're usually the first to check it out.
And they're more friendly and just don't care as much when I "disturb" the brooder with my daily feeding/watering chore.

I can't wait for my delivery of Polish chicks. I ordered 25 assorted ones from McMurray and they are coming in April. I am soooo excited.

I have two polish chicks along with my 6 silkie. They're a 3 weeks older but also the brave ones for sure.

I picked her up today and she seems to be doing great! I will post a picture tomorrow, I wanted to let her settle in with her new sisters a little bit first. She seems to have a little discharge from her nostrils but I am hoping she will be ok, she came from a bin with quite a few other chicks. She is only 5 days younger than my other chicks and still about half the size. Its hilarious!
